Meet Our Female Gynaecologists

London Gynaecology has a highly experienced female gynaecologist team, who are happy to see any patients who would prefer a female doctor.  Our female gynaecologists are highly experienced consultant gynaecologists who hold or have held significant posts in the NHS in addition to their private practice.

Miss Cook is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Ipswich Hospital, leading acute gynaecology, early pregnancy, and gynaecology governance. With over 20 years of experience, she is known for providing individualised, evidence-based care for conditions such as menstrual disturbances, pelvic pain, menopause symptoms, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and recurrent and late pregnancy loss.

Ms Jesner is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician at Whipps Cross Hospital. She completed her undergraduate training at Cambridge University and her clinical training at University College London. Dr Jesner’s specialist training was in the North Central and East London deanery and she completed a post graduate certificate in medical ultrasound from King’s College London. Her main interests are scanning in early pregnancy and gynaecology, hysteroscopy, laparoscopic gynaecological surgery and vulval disease. She is the lead for the Emergency Gynaecology Unit and also clinical lead for Governance in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Whipps Cross Hospital. She has led service development and quality improvement projects for ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage care and has presented her work at national and international conferences.

Dr Patel is a Consultant Ambulatory Gynaecologist at the Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.  She qualified from the University of Cambridge in 2002 and initially trained as a General Practitioner. She worked as a GP in Greenwich for 5 years and has also worked as a Specialty Doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Health. Her main interest was outpatient gynaecology which encouraged her to specialise and embark on the consultant grade training programme in Community Sexual and Reproductive Health (CSRH) which she completed at Homerton Hospital in 2020. During her training, she also became a BSCCP accredited colposcopist.  Her main interests are in ambulatory gynaecology including colposcopy, gynaecological scanning and outpatient hysteroscopy.

Miss Batish is a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician and clinical lead (obstetrics) at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, having completing her specialist training from London Deanery in 2016.
Miss Batish has completed advanced training skills module (RCOG) in colposcopy, with BSCCP accreditation, and benign gynaecological surgery (outpatient hysteroscopy) and advanced labour ward practice.  Miss Batish has interest in abnormal smear management, fibroid management, endometriosis and abnormal uterine bleeding, PCOS, suspected female genital tract malignancies and chronic pelvic pain.

Miss Aref-Adib is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist. She is highly qualified and has over 14 years of experience in the field. She obtained her MBBS from the University of London in 2005, and subsequently completed a Diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive healthcare. With her rich experience, Miss Aref-Adib has worked in many hospitals across the UK, including Whittington Hospital NHS Trust, North Middlesex University Hospital, Queen’s Hospital, Whipps Cross Hospital and Newham University Hospital

Ms Swer is a consultant gynaecologist whose expertise is in early pregnancy and gynae scanning after completing two years as a Clinical Research Fellow at UCAL.  Ms Swer’s main interests lie in ambulatory gynaecology including scanning, outpatient hysteroscopy, early pregnancy and menopause. In addition to the above, Ms Swer sees patients for recurrent miscarriage and performs general and laparoscopy surgery. She has publications and book chapters in both early pregnancy and obstetrics.

Miss Bowring is a consultant in sexual and reproductive health with a special interest in Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection of the lower genital tract. She is a BSCCP accredited colposcopist and accredited trainer at her NHS Trust, Homerton Hospital.  Miss Bowring provides all methods of contraception and sexual health screening, including the fitting of intrauterine devices and subdermal implants. .

Miss Evans is an experienced consultant gynaecologist with a special interest in colposcopy and early gynaecological malignancies. She qualified as a consultant in 2002 at The Royal Free Hospital, and is currently the lead for colposcopy and gynaecology cancer. Miss Evans chairs the weekly gynaecology MDT meeting is also a representative at the North London Gynaecology cancer tumour board.

Miss Wilson has been a consultant gynaecologist for over 6 years at The Whittington Hospital where she is ‘labour ward lead’.  She provides a range of services for women including caring for those with concerns in early pregnancy, emergency gynaecology problems and longstanding conditions.  She is trained in gynaecology ultrasound and laparoscopic surgery.

Ms Flemming has over 6 years experience as a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician within the NHS at The Whittington Hospital, London where she holds the post of Ambulatory Gynaecology lead.  Ms Flemming areas of expertise include early pregnancy, fibroid management, polycystic ovarian syndrome irregularities, postmenopausal bleeding, pelvic pain and early fertility care.

Mrs Pisal has worked as a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician for over 11 years and is known for her expertise, kindness and willingness to provide the best possible care for her patients. Her areas of expertise include recurrent miscarriage, ultrasound scanning, fetal medicine and advanced laparoscopic surgery.

Miss Khinder is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist who has a specialist interest and expertise in the following gynaecology areas; minimal access surgery, management of ovarian cysts, fibroids, pelvic pain, heavy periods, abnormal bleeding after the menopause, outpatient hysteroscopy, colposcopy and abnormal smears along with scanning for both early pregnancy and gynaecology. Ms Khinder is passionate about patient safety and experience and is an advocate for women’s choice.

Miss Shah qualified as a Consultant Gynaecologist in 1999 from Royal Free Medical School and completed a PhD in HPV and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia in immunocompromised women. Miss Shah specialises in colposcopy, vulval disease and outpatient hysteroscopy and is a member of the BSCCP, BSSVD and Faculty of Family Planning.
