Dr Dattani is a GP with a special interest in women’s health and sees patients for general complaints such as mental health and anxiety, tiredness, joint pain, headaches and migraines and bowel issues (IBS).  Dr Dattani also have specific appointments for well-woman check, menopause, breast examination, dermatology, contraception advice and menopause.

Should a specialist referral be required, Dr Dattani is also able to make the onward arrangements.

What does a GP Well Woman Check include?

GP consultation which includes full history taking, pelvic examination, cervical smear for HPV test and blood tests (full blood count, thyroid profile, lipid profile, vitamin D, iron and glucose).

Explanation of results will be shared by letter or if required, by telephone call follow up appointment (chargeable) and arrangement of any prescriptions or onward referral if required.

 

What does GP Dermatology appointment include?

A GP dermatology appointment includes a GP consultation to discuss your skincare concerns.  Our GP is happy to see patients for management of acne, eczema, psoriasis, general rashes, scalp conditions (eg psoriasis, hair loss).

The consultation includes taking of medical history, weight and blood pressure checks, discussion of your concerns, examination of the condition, discussion of the findings, ordering or any required tests and arrangement of prescription if needed.

Explanation of results will be shared by letter or if required, by telephone call follow up appointment (chargeable).

 

What does a GP Menopause appointment include?

GP consultation which includes full history taking, discussion and assessment of symptoms, pelvic examination, cervical smear for HPV test and blood tests (full blood count, thyroid profile, lipid profile, vitamin D, iron and glucose).

Explanation of results will be shared by letter or if required, by telephone call follow up appointment (chargeable) and arrangement of any prescriptions or onward referral if required.

 

 

What does GP contraception appointment include?

A GP contraception appointment includes a GP consultation to discuss contraception needs (this would include your preferred methods and lifestyle), taking of medical history, checks including weight and blood pressure.  Discussion of contraceptive needs given age, family history, medical issues and lifestyle needs and a discussion of the risks and benefits of each choice.

Discussion of preferred method, and initiation (or referral for coil insertion or implant) and arrangement follow up appointment.

Please note that if you wish to have a coil or contraceptive implant inserted we recommend you book a coil fitting or contraceptive implant appointment.

 

What does a GP breast examination include?

GP consultation to discuss symptoms (eg breast pain, lumps, discharge, skin changes or any other changes you have noticed) followed by a manual examination of both breasts and discussion of findings.

Explanation of results will be shared by letter or if required by telephone call follow up appointment (chargeable) and, if needed, an onward referral to a breast specialist for mammography can be provided.

Please note that mammography or breast ultrasound would be at an alternative location.
