Ms Shikha Kapur is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who supports women with a wide range of gynaecological and early pregnancy concerns. Patients commonly see her for early pregnancy symptoms, recurrent miscarriage, menopause symptoms, ovarian cysts, fibroids and contraception advice, including coil insertion and removal.

She leads the Early Pregnancy Service at Watford General Hospital, where she supports women through assessment, reassurance and ongoing care at what can be an anxious and emotional time. Shikha understands how unsettling uncertainty can feel in early pregnancy and focuses on careful investigation, clear explanations and compassionate support throughout.

Shikha has particular expertise in gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound, outpatient hysteroscopy and ambulatory gynaecology. These skills often allow concerns to be assessed efficiently and, where possible, provide clarity and reassurance during the same visit. When surgery is needed, she also offers minimally invasive (keyhole) procedures for conditions such as ovarian cysts and fibroids.

In clinic, Shikha is known for her warm, thoughtful manner and evidence-based approach. She takes time to listen to patients’ concerns, explains options clearly and works collaboratively to develop care plans that feel appropriate and manageable for each individual.

Alongside her clinical work, Shikha plays an active role in medical education as a College Tutor, reflecting her commitment to maintaining high standards of care and keeping practice aligned with the latest evidence.
