Consultant Gynaecologist

Location(s):
Harley Street, Moorgate

Miss Sapna Shah is a Consultant Gynaecologist who supports women with concerns around cervical screening, vulval symptoms and abnormal bleeding. Patients commonly see her following an abnormal smear result, for vulval discomfort or changes, or for outpatient hysteroscopy to investigate symptoms in a clear and supportive setting.

She is the lead for colposcopy at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust and has many years of experience caring for women who are worried about cervical changes or cancer risk. Sapna understands how unsettling these concerns can feel and focuses on careful assessment, clear explanations and reassurance at every step.

Sapna has particular expertise in colposcopy, vulval conditions and outpatient hysteroscopy. These skills allow her to assess symptoms thoroughly and, where possible, provide clarity and next steps without unnecessary delay. Her approach is evidence-based but always centred on the individual patient and their concerns.

In clinic, Sapna is known for her calm, thoughtful manner. She takes time to listen, explains findings in plain language and ensures patients feel comfortable asking questions, especially during appointments that can feel sensitive or anxiety-provoking. Her aim is for patients to leave feeling informed, reassured and supported.

Outside of work, Sapna enjoys baking (and has even won a local baking competition), country walks and spending time with her two sons.
