Ms Ora Jesner MBBS FRCOG

Ms Ora Jesner is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who supports women with urgent and distressing gynaecological concerns, particularly in early pregnancy. Patients commonly see her for:

• early pregnancy pain and issues
• concerns about ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage
• Fibroids
• Endometriosis
• Adenomyosis
• vulval symptoms
• gynaecological ultrasound
• diagnostic hysteroscopy
• laparoscopic (“keyhole” or “minimally invasive”) surgery
• coil insertion or removal

She works at Whipps Cross Hospital, where she leads the Emergency Gynaecology Unit. This means she has extensive experience assessing symptoms quickly and carefully, helping patients get clear answers at what can be a frightening and uncertain time. Ora understands how overwhelming these situations can feel and focuses on calm reassurance, clear explanations and compassionate care throughout.

Ora has particular expertise in early pregnancy and gynaecological ultrasound, allowing her to assess symptoms thoroughly and explain findings in a way that patients can understand. She also offers outpatient hysteroscopy and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery when needed, always aiming to minimise stress and disruption for patients.

In clinic, Ora is known for her steady, supportive manner. She takes time to listen, never rushes concerns, and is especially mindful that emergency or early pregnancy symptoms can carry a significant emotional impact. Her goal is for patients to feel heard, informed and supported, even when answers are not straightforward.

Alongside her clinical work,  Ms Jesner has led medical student teaching at Whipps Cross and currently serves as the Clinical Educator for junior doctors. She developed an innovative training programme for community-based advisors in women’s health within faith communities and founded the See One Club, a practical training initiative for doctors in Obstetrics and Gynaecology across London.

Outside of work, Ora enjoys art, crafting and CrossFit, and spending time with her four children.
