Miss Heather Evans MB BCh, FRCOG

Miss Evans is a Consultant Gynaecologist with extensive experience supporting women with concerns around cervical health, abnormal bleeding and early gynaecological cancers. Patients commonly see her following abnormal smear results, for colposcopy, hysteroscopy, heavy periods or post-menopausal bleeding.

She has worked as a consultant at The Royal Free Hospital since 2002 and leads the gynaecological cancer services there. This role means she is highly experienced in assessing symptoms that may be worrying, ensuring concerns are investigated carefully and promptly, with clear communication throughout.

Miss Evans has particular expertise in colposcopy and the management of abnormal cervical screening results. She understands how anxiety-provoking these appointments can be and focuses on explaining findings in plain language, offering reassurance where appropriate and involving patients fully in decisions about their care.

In clinic, Miss Evans is known for her calm, thorough approach. She takes time to listen, ensures patients feel informed rather than overwhelmed, and prioritises thoughtful, evidence-based care tailored to each individual situation.
