Edel Muchemeyi

As the Lead Sonographer at London Gynaecology, patients commonly see her for early pregnancy scans, emergency gynaecology scans and ultrasound investigations when clarity and reassurance are especially important.

She has extensive experience in ultrasound imaging, with a particular passion for early pregnancy and emergency gynaecology scanning. Edel understands that scans can often take place at anxious or uncertain moments, and her priority is to help patients feel calm, informed and supported throughout their appointment.

Edel trained in diagnostic radiography and medical ultrasound in the UK and has worked across a wide range of clinical settings, including hospital-based services, emergency care and community clinics. This breadth of experience allows her to assess symptoms carefully and adapt her approach to each individual patient and situation.

Before joining London Gynaecology, Edel worked as a deputy ultrasound manager within the NHS. While she brings strong clinical leadership and accuracy to her role, patients most often value her warm, empathetic manner and the way she takes time to explain what she is seeing and answer questions clearly.

Edel is dedicated to ensuring every patient feels at ease during their scan, combining technical expertise with kindness and compassion. Her aim is for patients to leave feeling reassured, listened to and confident about the next steps.

Outside of work, Edel enjoys travelling, dining out, shopping and spending time walking her dog, Rufus.
