Recurrent Thrush Package
Thrush is a common yeast infection that affects most women at some point in their life. Whilst most cases can be treated quickly, recurrent thrush needs a different approach where the cause of the thrush is treated.
Who is it for?
Our Recurrent Thrush Package is designed for individuals who experience frequent episodes of thrush, typically defined as four or more occurrences within a year. It is ideal for those who have tried over-the-counter treatments without lasting relief or who want a comprehensive approach to identify and address underlying causes. This package is particularly suited to patients seeking expert guidance, tailored treatment plans, and advanced diagnostic support to prevent future flare-ups.
How often should I come back for treatment?
The Recurrent Thrush Package is generally recommended as a one-off comprehensive assessment, followed by ongoing care as advised by your specialist. Most patients only need to purchase the full package once, as it includes detailed investigations and a personalized management plan. However, if symptoms persist or new issues arise, a follow-up consultation or repeat package may be suggested to ensure optimal long-term results.
What does Recurrent Thrush treatment involve?

Pelvic examination including high vaginal swab test for microscopic culture and sensitivities for candida

The following tests can be added to a recurrent thrush package at an additional cost:
- Nutritional consultation
- Follow up consultation
- Examination with vulvoscope
If you are visiting us at The Portland Hospital, there may be additional hospital charges that will be billed directly to you by the hospital and the total invoice amount should be the same.
Whilst we aim to provide a one stop service for the maximum convenience of our patients, if you have any questions pertaining to your results, we request a follow up appointment is booked. Follow up appointments can be done virtually 30 mins (£175), 15 mins (£100) or face to face 30 mins (£280).
