Our Cancer Team

At London Gynaecology, our team are highly skilled clinicians who have led or currently lead cancer services in major NHS teaching hospitals across London.

 

Mr Saurabh Phadnis is a Consultant Gynaecologist at The Royal London Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust), London. He completed his general gynaecology training in busy hospitals in the East of England and his subspecialty training in gynaecological oncology at Barts Gynaecological Cancer Centre.  Mr. Phadnis is co-lead for Colposcopy at Royal London Hospital. He is co-chair of the Gynaecological Oncology Multidisciplinary team meeting at The London Clinic, where diagnosis and management of patients with suspected cancer is discussed. He is also on the Cancer Advisory Board for a leading pharmaceutical company.

His research included investigations into association of pregnancy related complications following treatment of precancer of cervix. He has won several prizes in national and international conferences. He was awarded the RCOG-Bernhard Baron Travelling fellowship to visit centre of excellence in Germany to expand his expertise in ovarian cancer surgery.

He is an expert in complex minimally invasive and open abdominal surgery. His particular interests include fertility preservation in gynaecological cancer, counselling and management of familial gynaecological cancer and advanced stage ovarian cancer cytoreduction surgery. He is an experienced hysteroscopic surgeon. He has more than 10 years of experience as a colposcopist and is an accredited trainer with the BSCCP.

Miss Heather Evans is an experienced consultant gynaecologist with a special interest in colposcopy and early gynaecological malignancies. She qualified as a consultant in 2002 at The Royal Free Hospital, and is currently the lead for colposcopy and gynaecology cancer. Miss Evans chairs the weekly gynaecology MDT meeting is also a representative at the North London Gynaecology cancer tumour board. Miss Evans practices privately at our practice locations at The Portland Hospital and City of London.

 

Miss Sangeeta Khinder is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist who has a specialist interest and expertise in the following gynaecology areas; minimal access surgery, management of ovarian cysts, fibroids, pelvic pain, heavy periods, abnormal bleeding after the menopause, outpatient hysteroscopy, colposcopy and abnormal smears along with scanning for both early pregnancy and gynaecology. Ms Khinder is passionate about patient safety and experience and is an advocate for women’s choice. Ms Khinder practices privately at our location in the City of London. Ms Rhonda Flemming is an experienced consultant gynaecologist having worked for over 6 years as a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician within the NHS at The Whittington Hospital, London and also holds the post as the Ambulatory Gynaecology lead. Ms Flemming provides gynaecological services across general gynaecological issues including fibroid management, polycystic ovarian syndrome irregularities, postmenopausal bleeding, pelvic pain and early fertility care. Ms Flemming has specialist expertise in early pregnancy care, emergency gynaecology, hysteroscopy and advanced labour ward.
In addition to treating patients, Ms Flemming is actively involved in the training of junior doctors and medical students.

 

Mr Narendra Pisal is a consultant gynaecologist who has practised gynaecology in London for over 15 years working as both a private and NHS consultant at The Whittington Hospital NHS Trust, The Portland Hospital for Women and Children, and The Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. He provides a range of gynaecological services and treatments and is recognised as a leading expert in advanced laparoscopic surgery, abnormal smear management and colposcopy and management of cancer.

Mr Pisal is keen to make a difference within his profession, his philosophy is to provide his patients with the best possible care at every stage of their journey, ensuring a calm and reassuring experience.

Mr Pisal is well published and currently held a number of senior NHS positions, most notably being lead clinician for gynaecological cancer at The Whittington Hospital where he was actively involved in teaching and training medical students and doctors in training.

Mrs Pradnya Pisal has worked as a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician for over 20 years as both a private and NHS consultant at Chase Farm and Barnet Hospitals, The Portland Hospital for Women and Children and The Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth.

Her areas of expertise include recurrent miscarriage, early pregnancy management, management of heavy periods, fibroids, pelvic pain and endometriosis and advanced hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery including robotic surgery.  Mrs Pisal also undertakes her own ultrasound scans and has expertise in gynaecological and pregnancy scanning.  Mrs Pisal previously held the post of Service Line lead for gynaecology services at Barnet Hospital.  Click here to view Mrs. Pisal’s profile on LinkedIn.
